Tell me about psychic readings...

How do the readings work?
When you're performing a traditional reading for people-- Tarot cards, astrology charts, etc-- you're looking for patterns. You're interpreting external symbols through the lens of your own intuition.
A psychic reading works slightly differently. You're still interpreting external symbols; however, you are also simultaneously receiving psychic information. It's a hippie-dippy, 'as above, so below,' kind of deal. The external and internal information coalesce.
This is the intuitive aspect of reality. This aspect cannot be seen, heard, or validated, at least not in the traditional sense.
I'll break it down like this: when you see, you receive and interpret visual information; when you listen, you receive and interpret auditory information. Presumably, someone who is psychic or 'gifted' (or what-have-you), receives and interprets consciousness. Thoughts, feelings, 'energy,' sixth-sensory pings.
Often when I pull cards for people I will get multiple meanings out of one symbol; I will also get multiple symbols that lead to the same message. Additionally, I also get a lot of animal imagery.
Typically readings tend to cluster around either New Moon or Full Moon. While people ask me specific questions, I find there's usually other stuff the spirits want to talk about.
Spiritualists are often enamoured with the idea of our reality being an illusion, something dream-like that we are experiencing that is either being created by us and experienced by us. If reality is a dream, we should be able to interpret the symbols of this dream accordingly. Most importantly, by recognizing we are in a dream, we can shift it into a lucid dream, a dream that we can influence.
I have a lot more thoughts about it on my About me page.
We're all receiving information constantly; I'm just getting a different kind.
